Can you spot me in this picture?
If you guessed I'm the girl in the middle, then you're wrong. That's my older sister, Diane.
I'm actually the one with bangs near the Coke bottle.
Can you guess who else is in this picture?
If you don't know me personally, you might be surprised.
:-)
Yup! Those cute little kids in the first picture have grown up
into good-looking adults...haha!
And the only boy in the photo is now my husband.
Technically, Eejay and I have known each other since birth. His Papa is actually my ninong (godfather) when I got baptized. Both our engineer fathers worked in the same oil company in Batangas, and both eventually moved abroad, and again, worked in the same company.
Our mothers are friends, too and we, the kids, were playmates. We alternately visit one another's house just to play and to celebrate one another's birthdays. Well, you know kids and the "walang kamatayang tuksuhan" (teasing). Since Eejay and I are the closest in age, him being a year older than me, his mom and sisters tease him and say that he has a crush on me. So, I guess their teasing resulted to something good..haha!
From Las Pinas, they moved down south to Koronadal City and my family continued to reside in Muntinlupa City. Eejay eventually moved to Iloilo City to study in college and later on became a born-again Christian and pursued the life of a young pastor-in-the-making. Thanks to Friendster and YM, Eejay and I got in touch with each other again after more than 15 years. Our friendship was rekindled and eventually blossomed into romance, which then led into marriage. It was a love story that God has written even before we were born.
I'm looking at these pictures and can't help but wonder how our baby will look like. I'm kinda hoping that if she's a girl, that she'll look like me. If he's going to be a boy, then I wish that he'll look just like his dad, Eejay.
Nevertheless, I'm excited to meet my baby.
:-)
